Please park in allocated spaces on driveway in front of the garage. As there is only one treatment room, please wait in your car until called for appointment.

You will be charged 50% of the appointment fee if you cancel within 24 hours of the appointment time. If cancelled within 4 hours or you do not show up to your appointment, 100% cancellation fee will be charged.

A 50% deposit is now required on initial appointment bookings, which will be refunded if appointment if cancelled with over 24 hours notice. 

If necessary, please cancel as early as possible so other people can book the timeslot. 

Sports Therapy can treat a wide range of conditions including sporting injuries or simply aches and pains. Common conditions include: Muscle tension, Joint Stiffness, aches and pains, sports injuries, overuse injuries, back pain, Achilles tendonitis, frozen shoulder, neck pain, Shoulder impingement, golfers/tennis elbow, postural issues, plantar fasciitis, reduced mobility, bursitis, dislocations/subluxations, problems stemming from joint hypermobility.  

We request that if you have a back or leg injury that you wear shorts, and that women should wear a vest/tank top if you have a shoulder or neck injury.

Initial Consultation: Includes medical and injury history, postural and physical assessment, as well as clarifying goals and targets of the treatment. 

Could include a range of massage and mobilisation techniques, temperature and cupping therapy, as well as strapping and taping techniques. Ultrasound and Shockwave therapy will also be used where necessary. 

Your therapist will tailor a specific, personalised rehabilitation programme to target injured areas and prevent re-injury in the future, all while aiming to get you pain free and reaching your targets. 

 Max has a masters degree in sports therapy from the University of Lincoln, as well as an undergraduate degree in sports and exercise science from the University of Portsmouth. He is also a member of the SST, the governing body of Sports Therapists. 

 Gift Vouchers are purchasable from Max Unwin Sports Therapy, either for a session or for a monetary value. Please contact for more information and read terms and conditions below before purchasing.

Gift vouchers may be redeemed against any eligible treatment or service provided by Max Unwin Sports Therapy unless otherwise stated.

Gift vouchers have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash except where required by law.

Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase unless otherwise stated on the voucher.

Expired vouchers may not be accepted. Any extension beyond the expiry date is entirely at the discretion of Max Unwin Sports Therapy.

Gift vouchers are non-refundable once purchased.

Refunds will not normally be provided because:

• the recipient changes their mind;
• the recipient decides not to attend treatment;
• the recipient no longer wishes to use the voucher; or
• the voucher has not been redeemed before its expiry date.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

As a healthcare provider, patient safety is our priority.

All treatments remain subject to an appropriate clinical assessment. If, following assessment, treatment is considered unsuitable or unsafe, Max Unwin Sports Therapy reserves the right not to proceed with treatment.

Where treatment is clinically inappropriate, we will, where possible:

• recommend a more suitable service;
• allow the voucher to be used for another eligible treatment; or
• permit the voucher to be transferred to another person.

In exceptional circumstances, a refund may be considered entirely at our discretion.

Gift vouchers may be transferred to another individual before redemption, provided the recipient meets any treatment eligibility requirements.

Appointments booked using a gift voucher are subject to the clinic's normal booking and cancellation policy.

Failure to attend an appointment or cancellation with insufficient notice may result in the appointment value being deducted from the remaining voucher balance.

If the value of the treatment is less than the voucher balance, the remaining credit may be used towards future eligible treatments before the expiry date.

If the treatment cost exceeds the voucher value, the balance must be paid at the time of the appointment.

Please keep your voucher safe.

Lost, stolen or damaged vouchers may only be replaced where satisfactory proof of purchase is provided and the voucher has not already been redeemed.

Where voucher values represent a monetary amount rather than a specific treatment, if treatment prices change after purchase, any additional balance required will be payable by the holder at the time of booking.

Max Unwin Sports Therapy reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions for future gift voucher sales. Any changes will not affect vouchers already purchased except where required by law.
